Chinese New Year

To celebrate Chinese New Year we will be reading the story about the animal race.  We will be looking at how Chinese New Year is celebrated around the world.

The Children in Nursery will have the chance to take part in a dragon dance, taste Chinese stir fry, make dragons and write Chinese letters.

We will also be learning about Pandas, and other endangered animals.  We will look at where they live in the world, what they eat and what is making them endangered.

The children will then be looking at how they can look after the world around them by making sure they don't drop litter and recycle rubbish instead of putting it in the bin.

We will now be recycling all of our milk bottles instead of throwing them in the bin.  The children have been very grown up and have enjoyed the responsibility of taking the lid off their bottle, washing it out then putting it in the recycling.
