Click the link for the Oak Academy lesson on 2D shape. This follows on from your 3D shape work last week. You will need pencil, paper, ruler and scissors (if you do not have child friendly scissors, parents may need to help with this part). I look forward to seeing your 2D shape pictures!

12.1.21 Lesson 2 – Phonics

Follow-up task attached at bottom of page: Sort or group the words into the ‘ch’ pronunciations you have just learnt.

12.1.21 Lesson 3 – Grammar

This week we are recapping the use of question marks, and learning about exclamation marks. You might spot these in your reading books and you may even use them in your own writing.

Here you will find short BBC Bitesize clips and activities to learn about these punctuation marks.

Complete the attached activity (bottom page).

12.1.21 Lesson 4 – Literacy challenge

Create some stick puppets to retell Jack and the Beanstalk. You could attach these to lollipop sticks, toilet roll tubes or anything else you can find! If you’re feeling really creative you might make some props too like some magic beans and a beanstalk! I would love to see some photos of your scenes, or videos of you retelling the story with the puppets.
