Home Learning Grid Week Beginning 11th January 2021

Hi everyone,
We hope you have had a good weekend and managed to make Saturday and Sunday feel different to the rest of the week!
This week we will continue our space topic and story work on 'Whatever Next'.  Please see the grid for an overview of our timetable and weekly activities and teacher videos. The grid on the website does not contain the supporting sheets, however these are available via Tapestry or paper copies can be collected from school.
Hopefully everyone managed to pick up a pack from school on Friday.  In this there are lots of things that we would like you to keep safe as we might need your child to use them while watching one of our teacher Tapestry videos. Your child can complete their home learning in their pink books if appropriate. We have added lots of sheets to the bottom of the grid. These are for you to print out if you wish but if your child is accessing the home learning on Tapestry, it is optional if you want to use the sheets too.  If you didn't manage to pick up your pack on Friday last week, Reception parents have an allocated time where they can nip to school (hall entrance in the staff carpark) every Tuesday 9.30am-10.30am where they can collect a paper copy of the weekly grid and sheets (if you are struggling to access via Tapestry) and to change children's reading books.  It is vital that children continue to read their reading books at home (at least 4 times a week) so that they don't fall behind.  Also watching the phonics lessons are extremely important. It would also be a huge help if you practiced the sound flashcards with them everyday too (there is a copy of the sounds we've covered in your packs if you didn't purchase your own set in the Autumn term).

Remember to access Tapestry everyday. This is where we upload our daily tasks and teacher videos as well as providing feedback to children about their home learning.

Thank you for all of your amazing support.
Take care,
Mrs Wade and Mrs Coates
