Reading is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success.
World Book Day wants to change lives through a love of books and shared reading. They believe that having access to books and developing a love of reading for pleasure is vital for a child’s future and they want to bring the magic of books to children and young people everywhere. As a school we are going to do to all we can to promote this vision and ensure it comes true!
Every year, schools, nurseries and families across the country fundraise as part of their World Book Day celebrations. Due to the pandemic this year, World Book Day is going to be different as we are not all in school. However, when we get back, we can think of ways to raise money as every £1 that is raised goes towards giving a child a book of their own, so no fundraising event is too small!
