Class Dojo

Please sign up for free to class dojo. You will be able to view your child's dojo points for the week! Messages and pictures of learning will also be posted each week for you to do at home. If you have any questions about the home learning or would like more support this is also the easiest way to contact me (Miss Wood).

Key bits of information:

Home learning

Home learning grids are sent out at the beginning of each half term. Home learning books are expected to be in school every Thursday morning and will be sent back home on the Friday.

Reading is very important and essential to your child's learning. Reading with your child is essential and is expected at least 3 times a week for 10 minutes each time. You can record this in your child's reading record.

A spellings and timetables grid will be sent home at the start of each term. The grid will outline which spellings and timetables will be tested each week. Every Friday we will have a spelling and timetable test so it is important that your child practices these at home.

PE

Currently we have PE on a Wednesday and Friday afternoon. However, we suggest that your PE kit is in everyday.

PE Kit:

White polo shirt, blue/black shorts, plimsolls (indoors), trainers (outdoors), jogging top and bottoms (optional for colder weather).

Swimming - We currently go swimming from September through to the Easter Holidays every Friday afternoon. Swimming is part of the national curriculum set out by the government and therefore is complusory. Your child will need to bring their own swimming costume/trunks and a towel. If your child wants to wear goggles you will need to ask for and complete the goggles permission form.
