Belgrave St Peter’s C of E Primary School Unveils Stunning New Library Makeover

Belgrave St Peter’s C of E Primary School is celebrating the remarkable transformation of its school library, turning it into a vibrant and inspiring space designed to ignite young imaginations. Thanks to the creative talents of local artist Aerosolicz, the once plain magnolia walls now burst with colour, featuring a bold and eye-catching mural packed with beloved storybook characters.

The graffiti-style artwork, funded by the Tesco Stronger Starts grant, has added the perfect finishing touch to a major investment in the school's reading facilities. With the help of grants from The Foyle Foundation and Bookmark Reading Charity, the school has also invested nearly £10,000 in brand-new books and library furniture.

All the new books are carefully selected to align with the school’s diverse and engaging reading curriculum and include firm favourites among both children and staff. The newly transformed library now offers students an exciting, welcoming space where stories truly come to life.

Acting Headteacher Alex McLugash said:
"The new graffiti artwork has completely transformed our library into a vibrant and inspiring space. It’s brought energy, creativity, and excitement into the heart of our school, making the library a place where students genuinely want to spend time and get lost in a good book."

Belgrave St Peter’s C of E Primary School is proud to continue fostering a love of reading and creativity through this stunning new library environment, giving every child the opportunity to develop their imagination and passion for stories.
