Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Belgrave St Peter’s CofE Primary School Shines in BBC Radio Leicester School Takeover

Belgrave St Peter’s CofE Primary School proudly took part in the BBC Radio Leicester School Takeover this week, giving pupils an exciting opportunity to experience live broadcasting and share their voices with the wider Leicester community.

During the event, pupils took on a variety of engaging tasks and radio activities, including speaking on air, participating in challenges, and learning about how radio programmes are produced. Many listeners may have heard familiar names and voices as the children confidently stepped up to the microphone.

Alex McLugash, Acting Headteacher, celebrated the pupils’ enthusiasm and achievement:
“We are incredibly proud of our pupils and the confidence they showed during the BBC Radio Leicester School Takeover. This experience allowed them to develop new skills, express their creativity, and gain insight into the world of broadcasting. We’re extremely grateful to BBC Radio Leicester for offering such a valuable and memorable opportunity.”

The school extends a warm thank-you to BBC Radio Leicester for supporting young learners and helping to highlight the talent and spirit of the Belgrave St Peter’s CofE Primary School community.
