After-school clubs 2025-26

Dear parents/carers,

We are pleased to announce that a range of exciting after-school clubs will be running here at Belgrave St Peter’s CofE Primary School. Please see the table below for details of the clubs, including days, times, and providers.

All clubs will finish at 4:15 pm, and children will need to be collected from the school hall door.

Behaviour Expectations
As you know, we have worked hard as a school to improve behaviour, and these high expectations extend to all after-school clubs. To support this, we will be operating a three-step system if behaviour does not meet our school’s expectations:

1. First incident - The sports coach or club leader will speak with you at collection time.

2. Second incident - A member of the Senior Leadership Team will become involved.

3. Third incident - Your child may face a temporary removal from after-school clubs, to be agreed in a meeting between the Headteacher and parents.

We are confident this approach will ensure that clubs remain enjoyable, safe, and positive experiences for all children.

This year, we are delighted to share that the cost of the clubs will remain heavily subsidised, meaning each session will be just £2. The X Club, provided by Holy Trinity Church, will continue to be completely free of charge. Clubs are fully subsidised for children in receipt of free school meals, but they will still need to be signed up on Arbor.

Please note that places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure your child’s place, please book and make payment in advance via Arbor (no payment is needed for X Club). Bookings can be made from 6.00pm 28th August 2025.

Football Team Training

Please note that our school football teams will now train during lunchtimes, led by Mr Westaby and Mr McLugash. Training start dates will be shared soon, and children selected for the teams will receive a letter with full details.

Forest School Reminder

Children attending the Forest School club must bring appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear, including a waterproof coat and wellies or sturdy shoes, as sessions take place in all weathers.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Alex McLugash

Acting Headteacher
